From traditional festive fayre to dishes that offer something decidedly different, there’s a whole host of restaurants in the surrounding areas that all offer Christmas lunches worth writing home about.
Our choice of local restaurants however, has to be Mabel’s, as much for its warm, vibrant atmosphere as for the incredible menus.
Those of you looking for a party-like atmosphere to celebrate the season will find much to like about Mabel’s mouthwatering buffet options and sit-down, three-course dining menus.
Depending on when you book, you may also be treated to live entertainment and a feel-good ambiance that sets the perfect scene for a cracking Christmas party.

Highly praised by TimeOut London as their go-to restaurant for Christmas Day lunch in Central London, this suave French bistro’s seasonal menu combines festive favourites like turkey and beef fillet with upscale options like lobster and ricotta cavatelli.
In the run-up to the big day, guests visiting the capital as part of a luxury Christmas shopping trip, or to experience the magic of a traditional London Christmas will also find lots to like about Bar Boulud, with the brand’s upmarket yuletide menu served right throughout the season.
Dean Street Townhouse

Less than a two minute walk down the road from our Oxford Street serviced apartments in Soho, Dean Street Townhouse is an all-day eatery which serves as the venue of choice for a rather more refined and elegant Christmas dining experience.
Turkey and Christmas pudding are both on the menu for those compelled to stick with tradition, whilst those looking for a break from the norm this December can enjoy the likes of duck, roast beef, and and smoked eel terrine.
It isn’t merely the menu that’s worth getting excited about here. Open for Christmas lunch right throughout December, including on Christmas Day, Dean Street Townhouse’s main attraction is its beautiful Georgian decor, offering something of a sophisticated, debonair dining experience.
1 Snowden St, Broadgate West, EC2A 2DQ
It may well be that the whole reason for staying with us this December is to completely get away from Christmas altogether. If that’s the case, then the last thing you’re likely to want is to be tucking into turkey and wolfing down platefuls of steaming pudding.
Instead, you’ll be looking for something wholly non-traditional, which is where Darbaar Restaurant, close to Liverpool Street Station.
On December 25th, the Indian restaurant offers a four-course dishes that do anything but conjure forth fond yuletide memories.
Instead, you’ll have the likes of coconut soup for starters, Goan-spiced goose for the main course, and a scrumptious fruit and nut pudding for dessert.

Finally, we finish things up where we started. Rivalled only by the aforementioned Mabel’s as our favourite place to eat Christmas lunch near our Oxford Street serviced apartments, Brown’s has something for everyone this December.
